NIKIFORAKIS POLYCHRONIS has been actively involved in Art Photography since 1984. He has been distinguished both in Greece and abroad in various photographic contests. In May 2006 he was awarded the title of Artistic Photographer A.FIAP. of the Federation International de l’ Art Photographique, for his long and continuous participation in international Art Photography contests, where he has gained many distinctions. In Mai 2009 he was awarded the title of Excellency Photographer EFIAP. In April 2007 he was awarded the first star in colour photography by the PSA (Photographic Society of America) for his distinguished participation in the contests held by the society, while a few months later he is awarded a second star.In March 2008 he was awarded with the third star in color prints.
He has been awarded with 18 awards in international photo salons , he has 380 acceptances in international photo exhibitions with 90 different photos.
Since 1999 he has been teaching in a series of seminars, held by the Greek Photographic Society of Crete, for both beginners and more advanced photographers.
Since January 2007 he has been a member of UNESCO and U.P.I.(United photographers International) In November 2008 is been elected as Secretary General in U.P.I.
Since 1998 is been elected in the board of Hellinic Photografic Society Of Crete.
